A Mixed Bag

I finally got my hands on my camera cable and I have been "clicky" since I made it back to Sydney so be prepared for a mixed post. More a photo commentary of my recent life :p

First up when I arrived home from Sydney my Mum had missed me so much! She thought it would be wonderful to come into my room first thing in the morning and take photos of her sleeping daughter. Aren't I glad I taught her how to use my camera?

Some photos of the sunburn I got at the Palm Beach rockpool. Wearing 4 hour waterproof sunscreen and only being in the water an hour and a half! Brilliant! Sun Safety my butt!

I may or may not have mentioned before that my other half has a thing for redheads. I am a dark reddy brown right now but have decided to lighten it up again a little bit and go for a change. The closest thing to what I think I might do is......

I now have 2 dresses in my life. Working on crossing off some of my 101 things to do in 1000 Days list. I am going to wear the black and green one to the Wedding on Valentines day. I wore the other to the Kitchen Tea yesterday.

A couple of photos from our sleepover. I didn't take many at all!

Mum and Dad swear Storm is the naughty dog and Knackers can do no wrong. I took a quick video of him up on their bed to prove that he is a cheeky bugger. Much much loved cheeky bugger.

My brother decided to shave his head as it was getting annoying. He's had a few girlfriends that were hairdressers but since he doesn't talk to them anymore no one is cutting it right. He has never shaved it before so I snapped a shot.

Well so what's been happening? Not that much really. After I got up here on Friday I spent most of Saturday running around. Got new tyres and ran some neccessary errands. Then Saturday night my other half wanted to go for a cruise. So we drove all over the northern beaches. This is the rockpool at Palm Beach late at night.

We drove for hours and hours and really I was way over it. But anything to keep him happy since he hasn't left the house all week after hurting himself on the way to work last Monday and ending up in hospital. As you can see in the photo below I was a touch tired (check out those bags!)

On Sunday morning we all got up like good little chookens and went to Palm Beach to tackle the steps. Nick came up to our house and we picked Loz up on the way. Jason decided to come along this time and while there was no way he could attempt the steps himself due to his injuries he could still pick us up at the end and enjoy breakfast at Dunes with us too.

As per normal it's the hardest walks that give you the best results and great views.

At the top of the stairs (from the RSL side) Are houses and out the front of one house is this gorgeous little electric car. Apparently they can't be registered in Australia. (There was a guy in the paper that imported a whole pile of them that are stuck on the docks I believe)

Nick decided to have a bit of a run up the stairs and ended up in hospital later in the day having injured his back for those efforts. Lucky Jason came along because we were only half way and getting back down would have been much harder.

At the other end of the steps is the point at Palm Beach where the rockpool is. The Steps finish up at Horden Park which is opposite the pool. (Or start there if that's the direction you want to go)

On the way I picked this beautiful Hibiscus flower.

After our walk we all headed to Dunes for Breakfast. At Palm Beach in Governer Phillip Park (I never knew it was called that till now) Which is where we are going for Breakfast on Saturday (all those bloggers interested in coming should scroll down a few posts for details)

I enjoyed the pancakes, while Loz had Smoked Salmon and Scrambled eggs and Nick and Jason both enjoyed a big breakfast. (Photos are of Loz and Nick as Jase likes to pull faces and not have his photo taken.) We all shared a bit of Toasted Banana Bread with Strawberry Butter (to die for)

Last but not least, Sunday afternoon was Loz's Kitchen Tea. She gets married tomorrow (Valentines Day) and it's going to be a small wedding. I was so thrilled she invited me to her kitchen tea and so happy to meet so many lovely people. Jason won't be joining me at the wedding (which is a shame as he is friends with Bride and Groom too) so it makes a huge difference to know people to talk to on the day.

The little one on Loz's lap is her Nephew Ethan. He turned 3 last week and he's a bundle of energy. Plus he's just so cute.

Loz you truly are a princess! Thanks so much for involving me in your wedding. Lots of Love your way honey. Good luck!
