The Letter B....

A Month ago (today) my dear blogger friend Margaret told us 10 things about her that started with the letter S. I in turn put my hand up and asked for a letter to do the same for you. But I have to admit I have been slack and until now hadn't got 10 words together.

But now here they are - 10 words beginning with B and what they mean to me.

BABY:

"A babe in the house is a well-spring of pleasure, a messenger of peace and love, a resting place for innocence on earth, a link between angels and men" - Martin Fraquhar Tupper

I am cluckier than ever! All around me are having babies and announcing pregnancies! Congrats to all! I am a freak - I want kids as of years and years ago. I always said I'd be married with 3 kids by the time I turned 21. I'm 25 turning 26 this year and nothing. Funny thing is I want to wait now until I am married. But I don't. I wan't to wait until I look my best to get married and until I'm at my stable best to have kids. But I don't. Life is a weird and wonderful thing. I will leave mine in the hands of God.

BACKGROUND: I was born and raised in Melbourne, starting out life in Edithvale and going to Edithvale Primary School, then moving to Frankston South when I was 7 years old. I then attended Kingsley Park Primary School before obtaining a scholarship to Frankston Christian School (now Bayside Christian College) and then moved onto Flinders Christian Community College. I lasted 2 weeks back at Public School Mt Erin before quitting school when I was 15. I continued my edication at TAFE skipping year 9 to go straight into yr 10 and skipping yr 11 to start yr 12 studies. I don't have my VCE but I can complete yr 12 whenever I feel like it and atm don't find it neccessary. - I was raised in a strong Christian household. Bought up in the Apostolic and Assemblies of God Churches. My parents are more in love today than they were when they met and it's beautiful. I have one brother who is younger at 22 years old. I am really really close to my Mum and Dad. I have lived in Sydney and am back with my parents for now in Melbourne, getting ready to take them with me, when I move back.

BALANCE:
"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving"

Something I have only discovered in the last 12 months. Before that my life was inactive and contained a lot of bad foods. Now I try and stay active and enjoy it! I suprise myself with the things I say I now WANT to do that before you couldn't have made me!

BEAUTY:

"Everything has it's beauty, but not everyone see's it" - Confucious

One of my chosen professions (yes one, I do a few things) These nails were done fairly early in my career. Kylie a wonderful model - check out those great nail beds - shame she picks her acrylics off and does some damage. I do nails, pedicures, waxing, eyelash tinting, spray tanning and I want to learn to do facials, massage etc also. At the moment my major role in the beauty industry is as working as a representative for the worlds best and largest spray tanning company. I absolutely love it.

I got into the industry when I was given a golden handshake from another job. I decided I want to work for myself, have flexibility and be able to make others happy and I knew when I had my nails done I felt great. So that's where I started.

BELLY:

"It is a hard matter, my fellow citizens, to argue with the belly, since it has no ears." - Marcus Porcius Cato

The last area you put weight on is the first that's supposed to come off! My belly was last to put the weight on - I always had a barge arse and huge thighs etc but my belly popped last. However it seems to be not disappearing so quickly. I want it to shrink some more so I can wear my dream top (mum bought when I was 14 and it has never fit) and my dream jeans (thanks Megan!) and together would be even better!

BICEPS:

I have them! With Body-For-Life my arms are starting to firm up and I now have visible Biceps. I find myself flexing and touching my arms disbelieving that it's real and they really are that hard. YAY for getting rid of the tuck-shop lady arms! If you want to do the same - take a look at
Body-For-Life

BIKINI - BABE:

"They both go together; you can't be in front of the camera hosting a fitness television show in front of 75 million households and not have trained 6 days per week year round - in a bikini no less." - Kiana Tom

How I would love to look like this! One day I will because I can and will have what I want. It's very mental I think. I have pictures like this on my wall for inspiration - this is why I get out of bed in the morning and go straight to the gym. This is why I work so hard. So one day I will be proud to stand in a bikini in front of the world. Hey maybe I'll get my own fitness television show!

BLOG:

This is the place I have come to record my successes and my failures, my ups and downs. My Losses and my Gains. My Life!

I came here to lose but I gained more than I could have ever imagined. A great support network and some wonderful friends. A place where I can say what I want or need to say without fear or remorse. A place to share. A place to be me.

BODY-FOR-LIFE :

"Winning is not normal and those who constantly win follow an ‘abnormal’ path. The discipline, dedication and sacrifices are incomprehensible to those thousands standing outside, looking in, who are capable of joining the winning team, yet unwilling to pay the price of admission. Winners win in a fair effort, on a level playing field, because they deserve to win... they willingly pay their dues in full, time after time, after time."

Body-For-Life is a health and wellness program. It's about balance. Food and Exercise are both addressed and a program where the 5 P's can rule. Perfect Preparation Prevents Poor Performance. This is how I now live my life. And although there is a 12 week challenge with prizes up to $1 million US about the transformation you make in body and in mind, this is a LIFESTYLE. This is a new way of living. Totally sustainable. Take the challenge!

BUNGEE-JUMPING:

"I like doing things that scare me. I went bungee jumping, but sky diving is just the sickest thing." - Leonardo DiCaprio

I haven't been sky-diving but bungee jumping I really enjoyed! Only did it once (so far) On the Gold Coast at that fair type place in Surfers Paradise. FUUUNNNNN. I got a video of the whole thing and I was about 16 years old. I want to do it again - Might make it one of my weightloss rewards. Hrmmmm going to be in surfers in a few weeks.
