Long Winter...

So do you think it is going to be a long winter? I have a fear that it might be. First of all I am finding it super hard to get back into drinking water while it's cold. I have no issues drink 3+ litres when it's hot but when it's cold the last thing I want is water. I want something with a bit of flavour when it's cold. Anyone else having these issues??? Maybe I should get used to Warm water with a bit of lemon or something. Because my coke habit (diet or zero coca cola) has crept back in and I am drinking can after can everyday.

The other problem with a long winter is the fact that I am working in a spray tanning company! Winter is not when EVERYONE jumps in for a tan! A lot do to keep up the sunkissed look all year but it seems to be a total MUST for heaps of people for Spring and Summer.

I always used to love winter months and hate summer because I couldn't cope with the heat. I have now found with 40 less kilograms life is different. I no longer have the insulation I once did and I feel the cold like never before. But on the other hand the heat in summer is SO much easier to cope with.

I was going to go do the 1,000 steps again today and attempt to better last weeks time but I couldn't be bothered dragging Mum out of bed in the cold so I went back to bed. We have decided tomorrow (which is free day) We are going to go and walk the thousand steps and then make our way into the city and have yumcha for brunch as our free meal. Fingers crossed the rain eases up.

I know I said I would be at the steps rain hail or shine for next week - but Geez I hope it's not raining - I really don't think anyone will turn up if it does and I think it is slippery enough when it's damp / wet without putting up with the rain as well. I really would love to meet more bloggers, & get out there and do something active! (A good way to warm up that's for sure!) If it does get nasty on the day we can always skip the steps and go straight to breakfast if we need to. (anyone who doesn't wish to or cannot do the steps is welcome to meet up with us for lunch/brunch/brekky I just don't know where we are going) Anyone have any great places for Brekky/Lunch suggestions welcome.

I feel like I have done nothing but whinge the last few weeks. I just found a quote that really should apply to me! And to all of us!

"FOCUS your energy on ACHEIVEMENT not excuses" - Bill Kennedy

So lets slam the excuses and get on with the good stuff. I know how good I feel when the scales go down so why aren't I working my HARDEST towards that! I have been trying to help others with their own lack of motivation this week (it's going around as the temperature drops I think) and my solution is to "JUST DO IT"

The hardest part is getting off your bum and getting moving. And once you have done that for a few days it becomes routine again and it's notlonger hard - you have the momentum! So Lets all "JUST DO IT" and "Focus your energy on acheivement not excuses"

I'm still working towards my watch! A Birthday present (if I get paid) to myself.
