I want to thank you all for your care and concern over my lil injury day. I really appreciate the friends I have made here more than anyone could imagine.
I rested up yesterday and didn't do anything. I can still feel niggles in my knees and ankle today and the groin feels much better but there is an ache there. I think I might finally fork out for a trip to a physio - they seem to be on the ball from what I see in Sharon's blog with her calf injury. (How's that going chick?) Where as I think GP's take educated guesses. Maybe they can help me fix the problem (or problems as the case probably is) Plus help me prevent them further.
I started taking Glucosamine incase it is a load bearing type injury. Thank God Dad is already taking it because that stuff costs a fortune. As Sekhmet pointed out you really need to take a mortgage to afford just 1 bottle.
Anyway after taking yesterday off I felt like I was getting fat in one day - now I know I'm not the only one that feels like this but GEEZZ it's awful. I know I'm not getting fat in one day and I need to rest but my screwed up head wants to tell me otherwise. So back into the gym feeling better today for a bit of cardio with my trainer (I only rarely get together with him now as I have some prepaid sessions left and I can't afford him all the time) We did some great boxing and skipping (which didn't hurt too much on my toes) And some bench step ups and wall squats (ouch in a good way) He did my measurements & body fat etc and my bf% has gone up (less than .5% but still) and I think it's because my fat has gone like jelly again (meaining it's on it's way out) All my measurements are down which is great! And next time I get my BF done hopefully we will see a huge change.
I am going to be in Sydney for a couple of weeks from Monday week so maybe we can catch up - I'm not taking my laptop so I will only be able to visit blogs of people who leave messages for me but maybe we could do brunch or something while I am there? Going to be extremely busy while I am there, but I need to meet these women who are such a big part of my life now.
I think while I am up there I am going to do one of the
Body Composition tests that
Luds and Linda have talked about in their blogs. Luds has had her body scan done at this place and Linda was looking for somewhere to go in Melbourne for something similar. While not a body scan if you are in Melbourne you can go to Evelyn Faye Nutrtion for a body composition test which will give you an accurate reading of body fat, hydration, muscle and bone density. There are at Lower Level, 360 Bourke Street, Melbourne. Phone: 03 9670 1346 - It's not exactly the same thing but I believe this place in Sydney is the only place in Australia doing body scans of this type so if you are in Melbourne Evelyn Faye is as close as it gets.
