Feeling Better (I Think)

Well Saturday I went to the gym and did an hour of weights and an hours cardio (even 5 mins on the dreaded cross trainer) I am feeling so much better!

A girl who I have treated as a little sister for many years turned 21 last week and I was at her parents house Saturday night for her party. Iwas great! They had a spit roast and a touch screen jukebox and so many people turned up to celebrate with her. I only knew a couple of people though so I felt really out of place. I ended up having an earlyish night as I felt myself fading as it got cold and I'd really rather not relapse.

Sunday was a pretty lazy day all in all. I didn't do that much. I never made it to the gym (I hate going alone and Mum isn't up to it yet) so I took Storm for the long walk around the neighbourhood. In the mugginess though I freaked out the whole way through the bushland walk because I was worried about snakes. normally I let her off to run through there but I would rather some control if her sniffing nose came across a slithering beasty. I might not go through there again until after the warm weather has passed (shame it's a great walk) I might go down the beach and stuff again though (I hate putting the dogs in the car now though cause I cleaned it so well! (It still needs a good workover though so who knows)

Looks like Kellee isn't the only one with a braket problem (oops)

Sunday Night I went all the way over to Clifton Hill to dinner with some friends from Sydney and even more friends from Melbourne (weird that I go to dinner with friends from sydney to catch up and I haven't caught up with the friends from melbourne since I have been here shite) I ordered a grilled chicken burger which I could only eay half of and I ate a few chippys (naughty naughty) But not the whole plate. Im my previous life I would have made the chips my priority. Then followed up by eating the whole burger, the salad and ordering dessert. So I have to be proud of myself. (Oh and I think I looked good :-p )

I have a debate going on with myself at the moment over what gym I should join. I want to finally sign on somewhere. I have at Genesis at Karingal but I was thinking, they have no pool, no spa, no sauna not half the classes or features of Input (next to the bowling alley) which is where my brother goes. PLUS Genesis is more $$ than input. So I am going to go check out Input tonight. Genesis want a joining fee that input will waive for me. Input is 22 years old BUT it has been revamped AND has all new gear, plus the pool, spa and sauna.

Anyway the plan is to check it out in the next hour or so and try and make a decision. It would be kind of cool to go down there. GAWD it's so hard!!!!

I had my name down on a list of people interested in joining Genesis' 8 week Weight Loss program and was promised a call for more info. It started today. No one ever called me. This makes me lean towards input cause it ticks me off when you don't get the calls you are promised.

Ok enough ramblings.

Thanks for all your concerned thoughts etc. I know I should have stayed in bed resting instead of doing stupid things like fitness tests etc. I did end up reating until Saturday though and since I feel better I am back into it. (If I feel the slightest bit off I am back in bed)

I am going to weigh in tomorrow morning - I know there will be a gain as I have eaten so many delicious carbs over the last couple of weeks. I will be happy as long as it is less than 2kg cause then it is all only water weight. Then I'll be getting back into the Optifast and back on track to being a size 16 in 16 days.

If anyone has any feedback on the gym situation I would love to hear it.
