Melbourne Meet!

This blew my mind - far exceeded any and all expectations I had for our "little" meet up! It turned out to be huge even with the rain constantly pouring down. (I hope it made the damns)

A few girls turned up who's blogs I hadn't read before and now they are on my reading list. Everyone was so wonderful! It was like meeting up with your best friends who you hadn't seen for awhile. And everyone looked amazing.

Shontie, Beck & Ails

Shontie and I decided to meet up and catch the train in together (since we live so close and would be on the same trtain anyway) But neither of us had thought of it until LATE the night before. It was great to have a natter with her on the way in and out.

We got in about half hour early and walked (in the rain) around fed square. Got sopping wet and on our return to the information booth found a gathering had started to form. By the time we left that information booth our little meet had basically taken over the place! haha

A quick walk to Southbank and Lunch was had in a big foodcourt there. Although at first we were a bit worried as it was packed down there and there were so many of us. Some furniture rearranging later and we had one long table for us all to sit down to.

I thought for awhile we were all going to forget about lunch and stick to exercising our mouths in other ways. But eventually a wander found many indulgent treats. Those pancakes smelt so good!!! I wanted one of almost everything I saw so I decided to try and be good (Sunday is free day) and I stuck to the well known Nando's Chicken Wrap.

Lots of piccys were taken and I will post a few I have stolen from
Ails and Beck . I have my fingers crossed all the girls will send me originals so I can host them ALL in a big gallery!

I had a bit of a chat with Shontie and
Hayley about scrapbooking and how we all kind of missed that gorgeous skill some of you have. My excuse has always been that I freak out about subject, period, getting an album together etc etc. When I realised I don't need to worry about putting it ALL together I just need to look at one page at a time. So I think I might print some of the blogger meet photos and attempt to scrap them :-)

Linda & Hayley

Linda Looks great! We can just talk and talk and talk. She is doing so well. Despite hype etc she just never touched the Krispy Kreme's that plague so many (for reasons unknown to me I think they are nothing special)
Ashwee's belly looks absolutely gorgeous! When I saw her I was like "OMG look at your belly!" So much cuter in real life. And she looks amazing.

Kathryn had an unfortunate series of events keep her from making it to the meeting which was a shame as I was looking forward to catching up with her.

Michelle and I got to chat - she has done the steps again since we last met and took a friend up with her. She's in training for the C2S I reckon she'll do really really well!

Michelle & Me

I hadn't met Nat before but I did know her from her blog (which ashamedly I'll admit I hadn't read in quite awhile) and from LITS Forums She bought her daughter (who's name I have forgotten eeek) And they were gearing up for a slumber party last night (what pressie did she end up with Nat?)

Ails, Ashwee, Natt, Beck, Nat

I also met Ails Friend Natt who I had heard Ails talk of before and yet somehow missed the fact that she had a blog!

Others who I met who's blogs I haven't read before and are now on my list also included
Els, Sujaz and Michelle

We were lucky enough to finish off lunch with some home baked goods from Ashwee and
Philippa who supplied some coconut cake and ovaltine cake which were both yummo and much appreciated (yes yes I know - not free day but I wouldn't have had the chance to try it had I waited would I?)

Ails, Philippa, Michelle & I

Philippa is looking great, so smiley and full of life. No one would guess the sader times she has been through in the last month or so. Geez it was good to see her! Sounds like she is moving into a great place too. (I am jealous you know!)

I also finally got to meet
Nicky who's blog was one of the very first I started reading.

Nicky & Beck

It has been so weird to meet all these people who's lives you share and who you share your livwes with because it is like you have known them forever! I mean all these women I know I could laugh with and cry with and totally spill my soul to and I know you would all be there!

It's just an undescribable feeling.

So although my entry is a bit here there and everywhere this was an amazing meet and something I am so glad to be a part of.
Beck thanks so much for arranging this - you are everything I thought you would be and have a heart as huge as phar laps. HUGE CUDDLES! I wish you lived closer so we could catch up more often.
