40m 14s
Ok so what moron books herself in to do the 1000 steps 2 days in a row. Me! That's who. Glad I did actually too! I went up the thousand steps with a couple of friends from the Body for Life group this morning - they both kicked my butt. However look at that time! That's only 15 seconds slower than my personal best (a few months ago) I thought I would have slaughtered it you know! I only stopped to regain my breath twice! (I normally stop at each plaque) At Templeton's Crossing and Alolo Village. At Alolo village (where the seat is) you can normally see a tiny bit of a view but today there was sleet and fog and you couldn't ses the tree's for the fog (there's a bit of a reverse on a saying :p)At the top we thought we had actually lost Scott (the guy that was with us) because even though he was wearing an almost neon top there was so much fog you just couldn't see the gondolas or tables or anything in the BBQ area. I wish I had looked at my stopwatch earlier so I could have cut that 15 seconds off. I would have been so happy for a 39m 59s! LoL Weirdly - in the rain/sleet it wasn't as slippery today as it has been every other trip I have made up there. My shoes and my legs came back plenty muddy though. I forgot to take pictures this time. Sorry I couldn't be bothered dragging my camera up the hill for another pic of red faced me LOL - would have been good if I'd have thought to get someone to take pics of the 3 of us at the arch or something though (I keep forgetting to take a pic of the archway) Oh well I'll show you a bbq area pic I took a couple of weeks ago - Wouldn't have worked today, you wouldn't see those buildings or the tables :pWe have discoevered these severe rashes that plague me are eczema (I may have already said but I forget) However I hurt my knee and ankle so therefor now wear a neoprene brace to support my knee and ankle BUT of course sweat under the neoprene aggravates the eczema.I'm at the stage today where I am yelling with pain sometimes and I can't bend my knee properly because it is so swollen with the rahes. I have some cortisone cream but I know that's bad for you. So if anyone else who has had this problem before and has overcome it could share with me how I would really appreciate it. Even sweating without the neoprene aggravates which makes it hard to do my workouts. I mean - I am weeks overdue for a wax now and it can't be done till it's totally cleared LOL LOL LOL I'm hairy! But at least my hands have started to clear so I don't feel like too much of a leper.“If you say you can’t do it, then you don’t want to do it. It’s as simple as that.”
