Operation Roxy - In Progress

Hi ho Hi Ho - It's off to the surgeon I go.....

All I ever said I wanted was answers and a solution to the problem and now I have them :)

I went and saw the Sports Physician last week to get the results of my MRI and they showed that two of my ligaments were completely torn and in his words had "disintegrated". He is sending me a referral to a surgeon but tells me they will need to harvest tissue from elsewhere to transplant to my ankle. I was worried that sounded painful but he said it's the recovery that sucks.

I can't wait for this referral though. I just want all the information I can get and there's not much info available online surprisingly. The only thing that sucks now is the wait and the pain. I stupidly let my private Health lapse at the start of the year and even though this pre existing condition dates back to when I was insured I'm not covered.

SILVER LINING = THERE ARE ANSWERS!!!

Other than that things are going well. I still love my work. I am training 3x a week with a personal trainer and slowly but surely pulling myself back into line diet wise. I love the fact that we have a pool at work cause I can get some swims in as well.

My brother moved to Perth this week with work so this place has been quiet since he left. He hasn't had time to check the place out properly and my Uncle and Aunt are over there so at least he has family close by. It will be good for him to stand on his own two feet and work pays him some allowances for being away from home (plus they have supplied the house).

Jason and our friend Nick drove down to Melbourne yesterday and last night we all went out to The Social in Mornington for dinner. It's fast becoming a favourite of mine even without the Vodka Infusions. Although their Matador cocktail is fabulous! Crushed strawberries with Raspberry and Lychee Liquor topped with redbull. Yummmmm!

We didn't get much time together Jase and Nick waited to see the start of Bathurst before leaving this morning albeit alot later than they first planned. It gave me some cuddle time so I didn't complain. Now I have his car and he has mine again as he roadworthies and registers my car for me. Such an Angel my boy is. I cried as I watched them go out of view. Such a sop I am.

I'm off for a quick nap and Mum and I are going to go watch the Nanny Diaries at Europa this afternoon. 93 laps of 161 done so far in the race and it's been quite uneventful.

Have a great week all. I will try and at least blog weekly and I am slowly getting through yours too.

Hugs and Kisses.
