Injuries Galore
Yesterday was one of those days where I really would have been better off if I stayed in bed. First up treadmill for HiIT Left knee starts to hurt, left ankle starts to hurt, right knee starts to hurt - ok switch to x trainer for low impact before I land on my face and get flung off the back of the treadmill.
This video sticks in my mind when I feel like I am going to just stop running LoL.
I was feeling better by evening so I joined in on another Body Combat Class. My first kick of the night had me almost scream in pain with my groin complaining severly at what I'd just done. I got through the whole class but my knees were not going to do squats at the end and my groin means I now walk funny. I thought all would be better by this morning but it's just not. I haven't done my LBWO yet but we will see how I go.
Not only that but I can feel my knees today :(
SO I won't overdo it - I will do what I can.

Combat Rocks!
I LOVED The class last night - all these years of fear and it was totally unfounded. I had so much fun. Although I was wrecked after the first song LMAO I did continue until the end and I can feel the burn everywhere! I am now a definite addict. Gotta do more.
Oh and I could totally handle looking like that girl <<<
I went shopping for new trackies last night and bought 1 pair of normal trackies and 1 pair of 3/4 length leggings which should be great for running (cause they wont fall down) BOTH in a size 14!
PLUS while I was there I spotted some cute undies so I bought 2 pairs also in a size 14 (they are sooo comfy too)
I haven't bought any underwear since I started losing weight so it all falls down. I had started going "commando" so I didn't have to hold them up anymore. LoL Anyway the budget wouldn't stretch past the 2 pairs (plus I wanted to make sure they were comfy and actually fit) So as per usual washing here is done every day (I have 3 pairs of trackies, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of undies, and 1 pair black work pants)
Now I woke up this morning and was getting ready for the gym and for the first time in AGES I hadn't got my gear ready the night before. SO I went in search of a t-shirt bra. (weights today) Nothing in my drawer, nothing in my clean washing, nothing on the washing line, and nothing in my dirty laundry. Now I know they are all fallign apart and don't fit anymore (have been pinning the straps together to hold the girls up) BUT I had 10 or so pairs so where the hell are they? Gone apparently. They were here last week.
Why can't I keep anything?
Anyway so it took me an hour to find something to store the girls in and then I headed for the gym and started my LBWO. Breakfast was extremly late thanks to the extra hours delay and BOY oh BOY did I feel crook for it. Good news was some protein porridge later I felt right as rain and have been my normal bouncy self for the rest of the day.
Wish I could head back to the gym tonight even because I wanted to try another class (cycle is the only thing scheduled) But I let Mum take the car so I am stuck at home (not within walking distance)
Anyway I hope you are all doing well and have a great weekend! I'll be working at beauty expo all weekend so I won't be around (staying at my bosses house)
Be Good!
GO HARD!

Day 11 of 84
FOUND!!!
I knew when I posted that my shoes were lost they would turn up. I found them in the middle of the night, believe it or not, on one of my many waking trips to the loo.
That's a relief because there is no money to replce them right now and I feel narky when I haven't done my workout.
I found out I have been accidently doubling my carb portion, so I am hoping for a bigger loss this week.
This morning I jumped on the treadmill for my normal HiIT and at about 5 minutes in started feeling very funky in the tummy. I made it to 19 minutes but I had nothing left in me to push that extra minute, I just felt like crap and no talking it up was going to help today. I jumped off knowing I am beaten for today and will try again harder next time (when I don't feel ick)
I am feeling a bit better now so I may try out Body Combat tonight like I have been planning for Oh ummm Years! I have been too scared though so if I make it through the door tonight I will let you know. EEEeeeeekkkkk.
I hape you all have an awesome day!
GO HARD!

Day 8 of 84
I had a fantastic week last week. I discovered on Saturday what a brilliant mood changer exercise can be. I was in a grump for some reason then I threw on my runners off to the gym - pounded it out on the treadmill and came home joyous. It was like being a total other person! I was so happy and free after that.
Only problem being - that was the last time I saw my runners. I have no gym shoes right now - they are gone! This also means I missed my LBWO today as I dont think slip ons are going to cut it.
LOST
I have a second pair, I just need to find them. Then come hail or high water I will be back in the gym for my cardio tomorrow and I will do my LBWO anyway!
Food has been spot on!
Free day = a chocolate binge! My binges these days barely resemble a nibble of yore. And the funny thing being I now know there is NO WAY I could polish off a family block. I would be way too sick trying beforehand. Which is a fabulous thing. That controls me in a good way.
Now also on top of my lost runners I have lost my trackies. Leaving me with 1 pair. Hard to cope with when I spend 6 days in the gym a week and I haven't got a dryer. SO we went shopping yesterday as well. I was trying on all size 14 trackies ! And alot of them were too big. NONE of them looked half decent (mostly baggy in all the most unflattering areas) So I still have only 1 pair right now. I wasn't buying stuff that looked crappy on me. So I need to shop again tomorrow.
Now I know tracky daks aren't the thing to measure yourself up against. BUT would I have been able to slip a size 14 over my thighs 12 months ago? Not a chance! Am I happy? Oh GOD yes!
Must keep working at it. Must keep working hard at it!
SO to steal a phrase from my new friend "WooHoo NickiB"
GO HARD or Go Shopping for Fat Clothes!

3 great days at the Gym
So I started my 2nd Body-For-Life challenge on Monday and I am feeling amazing. I mean I am still struggling with a cold but there are other things happening that are really working for me mentally.
As I may have said, I am now doing this on my own without a trainer. My trainer is FABULOUS and I would recommend him to anyone but I just can't afford him this time round. The whole families budget is screwed since Dad's accident and truth be told I don't even have the money for my gym membership BUT it is too important.
Anyway - trainer for the first challenge an excpetional choice (or I'd have no clue with my weights training program) But I am happy to say I am coping well without him so far.
I felt so intimidated on Monday night walking into the freeweights area of the gym (I call it the "testosterone zone") But after my first set I was fine. I now feel really empowered being the only chick to cross the line from the carpeted machine weights to the vinyl covered free weights area LOL
Anyway - Monday equalled an upperbody workout that has left me pretty darn sore! My back is still super stiff today and I am hoping I can jump back in the saddle on Friday.
Tuesday = Cardio
I decided to start off my 1st 4 weeks on the treadmill and was pretty impressed when I got a Personal Best! I ran for 4 minutes straight! That leaves me only 6 more minutes to go until I make the 10 minute mark and one of my 12 week goals - tooo eassyyyy (ok maybe not but I'll still do it) I did find that at the 15th minute I was choking on the flegm at the back of my throat. By the 20th minute I was coughing and Im sure those around me thought I was about to die (I did too) BUT I completed it did my stretches and within a few minutes (when I could breathe properly again) I felt like a million dollars! (which I'm told looks like crap so that suits, looked like crap, felt great!)
Wednesday = Lower Body Workout
I called the gym this afternoon to try and get a BF% and was talking to a new PT who happened to USED to go to my brother gym and knew him. I had run into him on the train during the 1st week of my last challenge and we discussed BFL etc. ANYWAY - he said he couldnt fit me in this arvo cause he was going home for a nap then coming back at 4 when he had a client booked in BUT when I got to the gym he was doing a workout. ANyway he decided he was going to join me on my LBWO and could hardly keep up! And he only did Quads, while I was doing Quads and Hams in the same time period. That felt good - then it wasn't until halfway through that he realised who I was! Wasn't til I mentioned Josh that he put 2 & 2 together - he was just being nice and friendly LoL. He freaked out and was like I didn't even realise that was you! You have lost so much weight etc. SO that felt awesome! PLUS since he wanted to try and train with me and he didn't know who I was that was a bonus because I must throw a different vibe around me now.
THEN into my highpoint for quads (DB Squats) And almost at dying point this cute guy winks at me! WooHoo! I was red faced, messy haired and everything and I still get a wink.
I did PB's for quite a few of my weights and then I want to scream and die at the same time and I'm wondering how I'm going to get to the car when I realise I am yet to stretch. So I hobbled away from the machines and started stretching. I TOUCHED MY TOES!!!!! I normally stretch my hamstrings and can only reach half way down my shins so this was damn exciting (when I realised what I was doing)
I was still grunting and moaning when I got in the car so I am pretty sure I hit my 10's! Have downed some L-Glutamine and a protein shake so hopeing I can move tomorrow because I need to get back on the treadmill without falling off.
Now I haven't managed to take my blender anywhere for repair yet (I don't even have a clue where to go with it to be honest) so I am stuck with a drink bottle that is making a good shaker at the moment. I am damn lucky! EAS make Protein powder and Myoplex (which is a meal replacement shake, sorry I didn't explain previously) VERY WELL and they don't need a blender! They mix through perfectky and stay smooth with a shake. AWESOME I say.
Anyway - Dad is doing well we both enjoyed a shepherds pie again tonight and I am really impressed with it. It's a great winter warmer and fits into my nutrition program. And you can see with this post my attitude is really UP today.
Take Care all!

I broke my Blender! AGAIN
ARRGHHH
OK I bought a really funky new blender a stainless one! But it got broken in Sydney while I was in Melbourne. I bought it home but haven't had a chance to fix it yet.
In the meantime I have had my morning Myoplex mixed in Mum's blender which is about 20 years old but going on fine! About 3 months ago the rubber in the blender was nicked by one of the blades when I was cleaning it leaking my drink straight through the blender! A few days I figured out I could replace this rubber bit with one from the food processor that adapts to the same base. woohoo! We'r in business again because everyone has told me you can't get parts for this dinosaur anymore.
Well the time has finally come and unfortunately it's timing isn't good. A late night last night equalled a late rise this morning (but hey I saw John Wood win the Gold Logie!) And I was starving! Resistance training today so I can do that later in the day no worries. Time for a Myoplex. Hrm Blender is dirty pull it apart and wash it!
TOOK me an hour to get the thing unscrewed, I fought with it and twisted it and ran it under the hot water and grunted and moaned but it wouldn't budge. Then just as I am about to crack it and give up it just twists off easily! Carefully take apart! Mind those blades.
Clean and scrub and put back together and FINALLY get your milk and myoplex poured in! Only to hear water flowing somewhere! It's not water it's my myoplex and it's gone straight through the blender.
I HAVE NO SHAKER!
I officially cracks the shits make egg on toast (removing the yolk of course) and continue my day. Thing is though I got over hungry and I'm not recovering despite egg on toast. A huge glass of milk and a bottle of water :(
Sucky!
Time to take my funky stainless steel blender for repair - and I will buy myself a shaker while I'm out too I think.

TOO COLD!
I have made a few enquiries on house and land etc on the Central Coast for Mum and Dad over the weekend. We have all decided it's too damn cold. Heaters running constantly and I look 120kg again thanks to the sheer amount of layers I'm wearing.
It hailed here this afternoon which is a big deal if you are north of here. That's when you start to worry about damage to cars, rooves etc. But in Melbourne it is a soft hail and always tiny. I haven't seen hail that covered the ground like snow here since I was a kid either (which is when you could scoop it up and pour cordial over the top for natures very own snow cone) I love the hail when it comes down like that. I suppose at least it's better than damaging cars etc.
Indulged in some kabana spaghetti today. It's my free day and kabana spag although wickedly simple is an old family favourite. Its basically chopped kabana, tomato soup, diced onion and some bacon if you feel like it over some pasta. Very yummy. Not exactly healthy mind you but yummy all the same.
I thought over this past week I would have stacked on the kilos big time. But weigh in this morning revealved I am sitting on 83.8kg which is not even a 1kg gain. (thanks be to God) So I am getting myself ready to strip that .9kg and the rest of this lard all off! BFL challenge 2 begins tomorrow and I have quite a good menu worked out for the week which is awesome. Just need to do the shopping which I believe we are doing in the morning (normally we shop on Sunday but Mum just can't be bothered today and is sitting in the recliner beside me with a dressing gown over the top of her like a blanket snoring happily LoL)
I'm about to take off and do the group challenge final photos and we are trying to figure out a way of getting me in the next group challenge (because I will be in QLD for the Dutton Rally at the end of this challenge)
Would be lovely tonight if Mum would let us light the fireplace - we have a beautiful open fireplace that hasn't been lit somewhere in the vicinity of the last 15 years.
Take care all and enjoy what is left of the weekend.
OH and to sign off a Big Congrats to Blogger Hayley and her new Hubby Adam who were married yesterday.

Winter Warmer
I'm feeling so much better today than I have done all week which is great. I still have the gunky sniffles and flegm which sucks alot but otherwise I am getting myself ready for my next challenge.
I'm going to start a second
Body-For-Life challenge on Monday so this week has been a prep week. I have been eating well and getting myself organised. If you Fail to Plan you Plan to Fail!
I'm expecting some big things out of this challenge and I am hoping for less hurdles than those that were thrown at me in my last challenge.
I will soon post pics and stats from my last challenge so I can share with you evenm though they aren't amazing like some others (hey I was 6 weeks short of 12 really)
My goals so far:
*By July 30th I will have reduced my BF% by more than 5%
(I want to be under 25%)
*By July 30th my weight will be under 75kgs
*By July 30th I will have dropped a dress size
*By July 30th I will have reduced my resting heartrate (currently 99bpm)
*By July 30th I will be able to run 10 minutes straight on a treadmill
*By July 30th I will have introduced 6 people to Body-For-Life
*During my challenge I will learn how to cope with social situations
*During my challenge water and I will become closest friends
*By July 30th I will be able to do 1000 steps from archway to BBQ area in under 30minutes (current best 40.02)
Now I might add more to this (probably will)
But I need to now work out my menu and training for next week. I am hating and loving the cold at the same time. I have been trying new recipes like soup and stew etc that I wouldn't eat during summer. I do enjoy the winter warming food, maybe a little too much. I will need to be careful to keep it to portion size.
