Operation Roxy - In Progress

Hello

Just a quick one to let you all know I am still alive.

I was packing for a trip to Sydney (pushing it for my "flight") when my other half Jason turned up in my bedroom door, egging me on to pack faster. haha. A better suprise there never was. I really really gota kick out of it. Thanks very much to Jason and all my friends and family involved. God I love suprises!

We went off on a tour of the Great Ocean Road - it was our first "holiday" since we have been together. Every other trip we have made has been for work. So that was awesome. I gave him his own suprise and took him for a Helicopter Tour of the Great Ocean Road in a Bell Jet Ranger. I highly recommend the "12 Apostles Helicopters" which are located not far west of the 12 Apostles. (not the ones at the 12 apostles car park) The guys were great our tour was amazing and we did the long tour (30 minutes) which took in the "Bay of Islands" which is by far the most beautiful part of the Great Ocean Road.

We stayed the night in Apollo Bay and then in Warnambool and made our way back to my house via Halls Gap. An amazing drive as everything is in a new growth faze after the bush fires in January this year. When you get to Halls Gap and look up the side of the hill you get a feel for how scary it must have been as the fires really encroached on the town.

It has been an amazing time. I have to run, very busy. But hopefully I'll be back in a few days.

Love to all.

WHO'S A CHAMPION SWIMMER?

ME THAT'S WHO!

OK so maybe not a champion but I reckon facing the pool anytime soon after that last effort earns big points.

I figured out the best time to go is 3pm - No kids cause the school groups are all on their return and lessons probably start at 4pm. Only a few kind older folk there mostly 60+

I met Frank and Bruce and Bruce (no typo there was 2) and also Liz. All who were very lovely and encouraging. Just what I needed. I had a chat to the lovely lifeguard on my way in today and bought myself a swimming cap and goggles. And although I didn't believe it when she said THESE goggles don't fog up or leak (they all say that) they actually dont! Fantastic.

Although even wearing my swimmers cap I have wet hair. I must not have put it on properly but I more wanted it to make sure my hair wasn't in my face when I turned my head doing freestyle.

I spoke to lifeguard about Adult lessons to improve my stroke and there are lessons available for $12 a session (pretty good) But lifeguard critiqued my stroke and said it was good anyway. Hey I should be! My grandfather should have been in the Olympics you know. But that was back when you paid your own way and the family couldn't afford it. (Like that should have anything to do with my swimming abilities)

Wore my heartrate monitor this time too - peaked my heartrate at 203bpm (oops) and burnt 525cal over 25 minutes. This was no easy task! Swimming is hard work. But I did about 8 laps or 400 metres (25m pool)
Needing a break between laps because I was swallowing half the pool by the time I reached each end but I can only improve on this!

50 laps was nothing when I was a kid and I always wanted more. Lets get back to it again - I have all year!

YOU CAN MAKE A LIST TOO!

This is not my car but it does look like it - Not my price either

I'm not going to say it was easy - cause it's just not. It took me weeks to make my list. I had to keep a pen and paper beside my bed to write down ideas as they came.

I thought at first, I had gone way over 101 and then when I counted I had only reached 25 LOL. SO it was a process.

I dropped my poor banged up baby into the Panel Beater today and he gave me a courtesy car - it stinks!!! It's old and cruddy and it smells of damp and cigarettes. I'll be greatly limiting my travels this week. I suppose at least I do have something to get me to and from the clients I have booked in this week. And for that I am grateful.

I wish I had a disposable income so I could hire a lovely new Avis car or something for the whole week though. I wish I had ticked the box and paid extra on my insurance for a replacement car when mine had been in an accident. (Bugger)

I have decided to put my car on the market as soon as I get it back though. I have wanted a 4wd for quite some time now and since my car is going to be all schmick & new, now is the time to sell her. She has been very loyal and trustworthy - only once having let me down with a minor electrical problem (that is now fixed)

We have done many km's together and her power windows and air conditioning have kept me in comfort. Her power mirrors reflecting what we leave behind. Her 1.6ltr engine and Automatic gearbox carrying me smoothly from destination to destination. Her huge carrying capacity holding that which I need for my work.

Yes this is an ad lol - would you like a Pulsar ti?

I DIDN'T PLAN TO FAIL - I JUST FAILED TO PLAN!

And as I have always known this lands me in a tonne of trouble.

With everything that could go wrong, going wrong in the last 7 days (all starting with my poor car) I have been working my butt off in my busiest week ever! With me working the past weekend and working from 6:30am to 10:30pm one day and finishing at 9:30pm others. (I'm not used to this)

I should have made all my meals in advance but instead ran out the door empty handed. (Ok I took my water bottle every day there's a big tick) I bought my meals from drive throughs and country bakerys (yummo for the bakeries) Thi is just not a wise choice for my hips.

I also (working these hours) haven't been able to get to the gym as I should of! Crazy Crazy!

So I am so not standing on the scales to read my punishment. I am just going to be prepared for the week ahead. I have planned my meals. Done the grocery shopping. And I have to make things like my protein rocks and preprepare as many meals as possible so there are no screw ups!

Thats my weekend plan.

Plus I have sort of spread junk and paperwork and work stuff and clothes and personal stuff and everything across the house and I really have to clean up.

Heading to Sydney hopefully next week. Will keep you informed - would love to do dinner or lunch or something.

ROLL UP, ROLL UP...

Come and see the show!

It's bin night so we are getting the garbage out etc.. and all of a sudden the people across the road are beeping their horn and you look over and they are yelling at each other - she's in the car beeping her horn and he's behind the car trying to stop her backing out of the driveway.

These are new neighbours so we haven't experienced this kind of behaviour.

Especially when HE is totally NUDE!
Naked, Going au Naturale, in his birthday suit, without a stitch, swinging in the breeze.

Mum freaked out and went running to Dad and said umm the man across the road is naked. Dad didn't believe her but sure enough there he stood in full view while she sounded the horn.

Dad was wearing high vis clothing so he was easily seen - at this stage the neighbour noticed the audience and scurried inside while his wife made a getaway.

Must have been an important fight for someone to leave the house without even throwing on some underwear!

I somehow don't think we are going to get to know our neighbours any time soon.

A RETURN TO THE POOL

Today I made a return to swimming (if that's what you could call what i did.)

I used to be able to swim 50 laps and still want more. Today treading water and 3 laps (150m) Killed me! Would have helped to have my swimmers cap on so I wasn't choking on a mixture of hair and water when I turned my head to breath, but still.

Last time I was at this pool it cost me $0.75! Today it cost $4.40 - it's been awhile huh.

I actually felt good when I put my new swimmers on. They flatten me out quite nicely and make me feel a bit skinnier (God bless brown) So apart from feeling like a drowning idiot in the lap lane & ony the slow was open so I was being run over by professionals! (I'm sure of it) I was at least body confident, if not in my swimming. I am alot smaller than I used to be and I'm making progress, why should I feel scared.

That is until a group of girls start laughing uncontrollably at "that fat ladies bum"

NOTHING but NOTHING is going to make you want to crawl into a hole and cry quicker than a bunch of girls actually pointing and laughing at you and then sharing the whole big joke with their friends in as loud a voice as they can manage.

BUT then although there can be no mistaking it you look around to find the other "fat lady" they laugh about and you are the biggest person in a room no larger than a size 10. There's no one behind you for them to point at.

Yep I'm a bit shattered. I keep thinking why should I worry about what a bunch of girls says and does to me? But I do. I do worry. I feel they are only saying out loud what others are thinking.

I feel like a grand sumo.

GOOD v BAD

You can tell when things are either really really good or really really bad in the blogging world because there is normally alot of chatter going on.

Mine has been good lately - hence the run of posts. I am motivated and most importantly making progress.

I was quiet on Friday - didn't have much to say cause I was a bit upset after being involved in a stupid accident. Nothing but my ego was hurt, I was more upset I had just stuffed my clean record. I have enough damage done to my car to make it undrivable but not enough to write the darn thing off. Which would be much less pain I think.

Headache, neck and back aches a little but I think it's stress. I will get it checked Monday if it hasn't gone away by then.

Unfortunately repairs are going to have to wait until I can get my excess together. Which again is a PITA. I am meeting up with my bosses this afternoon and will try and apply some pressure to have all outstanding invoices paid now as I'm in the crud. My entire job relies on me being on the road so hopefully something can be done here. Especially since this is the only time of year I have to make a decent wage.

The Koko Black I indulged in yesterday sure helped with the pain though. Who said there is no such thing as comfort food? I think the good thing was I waited until my free day and didn't indulge immediately. It meant I have no guilt over eating those gorgeous choccies. (Doesn't take many to more than satisfy though I tell you)

I have put the rest of them away until next week. (yes I couldn't eat them all! How unusual)

Anyway - onto a fabulous week ahead.

Go HARD!!!

(ps. blogger is being a cow so no pics today)

Oh My....

Ok I have heard many rave about it . I have believed but not totally. Now I have tried.

Today I became a
koko black regular, an addict.

I had some time to kill before meeting a friend at Crown this afternoon so went into the city in search of Koko Black. Thinking this may be as disappointing as at Max Brenners (which had been talked up way beyond it's capabilities) I was almost expecting the same.

I went upstairs took a seat and settled on a Hot Chocolate. This was mmm Delicious. SO I ventured downstairs to select some of the Chocolates I have heard so much about - and at only $1.40 each these chocolates are actually affordable! I thought I may need to sell my car to buy one, so I was pleasantly suprised.

These chocolates and truffles are small bundles of ecstacy. Little parcels of pure pleasure.

Now I am trying to restrict my free days. And I now have the best way of doing this. I have decided to have pure pleasure when I indulge on free days. By this I mean instead of blowing calories on crap chocolate I'll buy the best. Instead of having McDonalds I'll eat something divine. No wasting fat and calories on rubbish when there is some truly grat experiences out there! And hopefully this way I'll be able to be good for the rest of the day / week because nothing could compare.

Well, that's the idea anyway.

Alls well

Looks like I get my Skipping rope this week.
All is going so well!

My arm that has the implanon in it plays up when doing UBWO but hey I guess it's not used to the rod in there yet. I'm sure thing will work themselves out given a bit of time.

My chart is starting to look quite pretty and I might post before photos (that made me cry) later.

Not much else to say at this stage really. Making progress on my 101 in 1000 list but geez it's not easy!

What a gorgeous Day!

I don't think we could have asked for better weather in Melbourne today, absolutely stunning!

Yesterday I didn't get to colour in all my boxes *awws sniffles* But I spent half a day hugging a bucket and the other half catching up on things I had totally forgotten to do. I didn't even manage to get to bed on time. (which stuffs up today's 100% too cause i only get my sleep box marked if I was in bed on time the night before) BUT that's ok. Progress not perfection.

Today has been good - I went into Target with Mum and bought myself some new bathers so I can go to the pool for my cardio workouts. they are so cute! (you'll see the pics in 4 weeks) I bought the bottoms and the matching tankini and halter neck bikini top for "options" All size 14 (a tad small but I will fit them in no time)

I also found the best black pants for work. Size 14! Woot! And they can be worn casual until I find some new jeans or cargos or something affordable. I have worn through the legs in my Jeans. Again. However, jeans have never lasted me this long. 11 months old they are!

I tried on a dress and some skirts too. I have decided fat girls shouldn't wear dresses or skirts. You can get away with floor length but anything else always tends to look silly! Especially on me.
Might wait for the size 10 or 12 before I try that again. Or at least for a flatter tummy and less bulging hips.

While I was at Target I also picked up a Bonnie Babes Calender - I picked up the wristband already. Bonnie Babes is my favourite charity. One that provides support for families who have lost babies to stillbirth or miscarriage and provides funds for medical research and equipment.

One in four pregnancies will end in a loss.

I urge you to buy one of these beautiful calenders. At the least grab a badge or wristband and lend your support to such a worthwhile charity. Available at Target.

Anyway - must get out and walk the dogs. I bought bones home for them tonight - Knackers totally turned his nose up at it (and it was covered in meat too!) But Storm devoured hers and tried to get her paws on his too. LoL

Go Hard!

100% x2

I did it again! I did it again!

I had another 100% day yesterday even after TTOM arrived. I went to the Dr. last night and had the Contraceptive implant Implanon inserted. I'm told because my periods stopped on Depo Provera it is likely they should do the same with the implant. So fingers crossed.

It didn't hurt to have done one bit! Although I refused to look cause I would have run if I'd seen the device they put it in with. So after the Local Anaesthetic all was good.

Today I am sore (crampy not implant site) and very nauseous. But thats normal TTOM for me. I'm trying to find an easy patch so I can get to the gym for my LBWO without chucking on anyone or anything (weights area is carpeted that would not be pretty) But I'm so not missing out on my little Fuschia ish coloured Box just for TTOM.

I normally like working out 1st thing in the morning but feeling like this I just can't leave my bed early enough to do it. By the time I get up it's brekky time so anytime of the day is better than no time.

Anyway all - GO HARD!!!

100%

I got all my boxes coloured in! I did everything right. I had a perfect day.

LOVE perfect days.

I put the pie that Dad bought home for me for lunch (yes my favourite pie was bought for lunch) in the freezer and are a ham salad wrap! I didn't touch the Breast Cancer Tim Tams nor the Jam Drop Biscuits.

Hello someone gave me super powers. I HAVE FOUND MY MOJO!

Now today TTOM has started again. I might organise that implanon thingy before I back out. My guts are KILLING me. But I'm going to pop some Ibuprofen and go get on the treadmill at the gym. Then Im going to come home and walk the dogs and get some work done.

I hope everyone else is having a good day.

Operation Roxy - "Christmas Challenge"

Well I started today!!!

My Graph has boxes coloured in already! So Exciting. Not many more left to have a perfect day either. Just working on my water and Gotta take puppies for a walk.

Let me explain my graph and goals etc for you.

You can see 12 bold boxes there (marking 12 weeks) With smaller boxes inside (7 across & 8 down)
Each box across is a day - Each Box down is a "to do" for the day. They are coloured in as they are completed.

On the Top Left I have my Goals for the Challenge. Top Middle is seven daily "to do's" and each has a corresponding colour (for marking off in the boxes below). Top Right is an action plan.

My Goals for this Challenge.

*Christmas Day I am going to be wearing my roxy Jeans comfortably
*My Body Fat will be under 29.9%
*I have a new way of thinking, doing & being
*I can do the thousand steps in under 35 minutes
*I drink 2 litres of water DAILY
*I have formed a reliable sleeping pattern

My Daily "To Do" List

Drink 2 Litres of Water
Eat Clean
Workout With Intencity
Help Others
Read Goals Out Loud & Visualise
Walk Dogs
Bed by 10:30pm

My Action Plan:

*Take up a stretching class (Pilates, body balance, yoga for example)
*Have restrained free days
*Plan and Prepare! Food, Time, Workouts!
*Eat at the table and not in the car or at the desk
*Always carry a bottle of water

Then when every box gets coloured in for the day - the bottom box is coloured RED and a Gold Star placed in it to show I have had a perfect day.

Gotta Thank my friend Helen for making my chart for me. I think she has saved my waistline :p and my Life!

Are you working hard Ails?

I'm working on one of those 101 in 1001 days lists. If anyone has any ideas?

MARY - You edit photos for a living?? I Can't use anything in photoshop bar crop! SO hopeless. All my stuff has to come straight off the camera or I'm screwed. Learning to photoshop is on my 101 in 1001 days list that I am working on though. This computer however doesn't even have word or excell and refuses to load it let alone photo editing software atm so I'll have to wait for the new computer to arrive.
